He was raised by his parents, Donald McFadden, an antique and fine art collector, and Bethann Hardison, an African-American runway model who strongly advocated diversity in the fashion industry.
Hardison received his education in acting at the Eubie Blake Theater in New York City, where he sharpened his craft and developed his skills as an actor.
