Jonathan Cheban was born in Moldova, Soviet Union, in a Jewish-Russian family on February 21, 1974. Jonathan is the only child of his father, Mikhail Cheban, a diamond dealer, and his mother, Galina, a New Jersey real estate agent.
He and his family moved to the United States when he was only a toddler, and he spent his childhood living in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Jonathan attended Fort Lee High School and then enrolled at Hofstra University, where he got his degree in communications.
After graduating from university, Jonathan quickly started making his way through the entertainment and modeling industry, working in New York and Los Angeles.
In 1998, Jonathan's big break finally came when entertainment publicist Peggy Siegal[] hired him to work in her marketing firm, “Peggy Siegal Company.”
Later, he parted ways with the company when Peggy denied him the opportunity to work on Sean Combs's, aka Diddy's, 29th birthday party.
Jonathan thought it was a good idea to work on Diddy's birthday by himself, without the help of Peggy's company.
He then formed his PR team and started representing many famous clients like The Backstreet Boys. Jonathan emancipated himself from his company in 2001 and formed another firm called CommanPr.
Until now, Cheban has been in the public eye for a while and has done pretty well for himself and his career, but the real fame came when he met Kim Kardashian [1] , a fashion mogul and one of the most famous people in the world.

Jonathan frequently appeared on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" [2]episodes and all other spin-offs from the Kardashian clan.
The show's millions of fans started noticing Jonathan's charisma and honest friendship with the Kardashian's queen bee, Kim. He gained a lot of following on social media by the name of Food God.
Food God's Instagram is filled with him trying expensive and crazy food from around the world; He tries anything from gold buffalo wings to raw liver.

With the help and production values of the Kardashian clan, Jonathan got his own reality in 2010 called "The Spin Crowd."
The show followed the business ventures he and his business partner, Simon Huck, also one of Kim K's best friends, had while working in their media company. The show quickly got off the air, and the pair stopped filming.
You can see that Jonathan was determined to be successful in such a competitive industry. He worked on many different projects and meddled in various fields.
At one point in his life, he even designed jewelry for "Rich Rocks," a jewelry company endorsed by many celebrities, including Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Clarkson, and Alicia Keys.
Jonathan got into the food business following his blowout on social media, so in 2012, he opened a sushi restaurant named "Sushi Mikasa" in Miami.
In 2014, Jonathan decided to upgrade from his previous endeavor and opened another sushi restaurant called "Sushi Couture" and hired the same chef from his last restaurant.
In 2016, he participated in the popular reality show "Celebrity Big Brother: UK." Still, he decided to walk away from the show after only seven days, claiming to feel nauseous and claustrophobic.

Even though Jonathan claims he didn't feel comfortable in such a small house with so many people, the show's producers claim otherwise.
Jonathan demanded more, specifically $130,000 per episode, after he heard that Ray Jay got paid more than him.
In an interview, Jonathan insisted that he tastes food in a different way than ordinary people do. He says that the reason behind this is his sensitive palette.
Kanye West again stroked with his extravagant and wild ideas when he encouraged his ex-wife's best friend to legally change his name to Food God.
Jonathan filled out the documents in 2017 and pursued an action for legally changing his name. He says that either way, everybody calls him and recognizes him as Food God, so why not change it?
