Jennifer Esposito was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 11, 1973. She is the second daughter of Phyllis Esposito, an interior designer, and Robert Esposito, a music producer.
Jennifer was raised on Staten Island, in a quiet neighborhood, and got her education from Moore Catholic High School.
She put herself through acting school at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute by waiting on tables and having side gigs.
She made her first television appearance in 1996. She continued her career in the hit sitcom show, “Spin City,” playing the role of Stacey Paterno for two seasons. In 1998, Jennifer made an appearance in “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” as Nancy, the bartender.
One year later, Jennifer starred in Spike Lee’s “Summer Of Sam,” where she played a rather important and complex role.
The crime thriller is based on a true story, explaining what happened during the 1970s serial murders performed by David Berkowitz, aka Son Of Sam [1] .
In 2000, Jennifer appeared in “Dracula” as the seductive and scary vampire Solina. She then appeared in the 2002 comedy adventure, “The Master In Disguise,” alongside Brent Spiner and James Brolin. The beloved comedian and actor, Adam Sandler produced the movie.
In 2004, Jennifer accidentally got cast in the movie Crash, where she got to play alongside star actors Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, Tony Danza, and Don Cheadle.
The movie was very controversial and sparked some boo and negative feedback at the Cannes Film Festival because of its explicit, graphic, sexual and aggressive scenes.
But there was no doubt that the movie was phenomenal even though it was way ahead of its time. “Crash” received an Oscar for Best Film and Special Jury Prize from the Cannes Film Festival.
She is most known for her role as Special Agent Alexandra Quinn on the CBC’s show “NCIS.” After making quite the impact in a year on the show, she mysteriously left, leaving the fans wondering about what happened between her and the show's producers.
Even though nothing was explained, fans still speculated that Esposito left the show because she was feeling unwell. Fans connected the strings, figuring out that her leaving “Blue Bloods” in 2012 because she collapsed on stage is associated with her most recent departure from NCIS.

Jennifer Esposito battles celiac disease, a disease where the immune system attacks the tissue when eating or consuming gluten. She fought with this condition for twenty-five years before finally seeing a doctor that would listen and officially diagnose her with celiac disease [2] .
Consecutively after discovering her illness, Esposito wrote a book called “My Journey With Celiac Disease,” which talks about all her way through life with such a disease and all the hard times she had.
She explains all about the complications and hardships she’s been through while struggling not to eat gluten at all. Esposito grasps the reality of gluten-free and says that for years she couldn’t deal with the fact that she can’t eat cake or cupcakes anymore.
Jennifer explains that she had lots of health issues as a child. Throughout her adolescence, she had many unexplained and undiagnosed illnesses, sudden hair falling, and even teeth falling.
Eating gluten isn’t the only cause of celiac disease, Jennifer continues to explain. She explains that even after cutting dairy and gluten, she still didn’t feel better, so she realized this would be harder than she imagined.

Jennifer cut grains from her diet, became a vegan, and got in progressively better condition. After her first book, Jennifer realized that there were lots of people who were also struggling with an illness like hers, so she published her second book called, “Jennifer’s Way Kitchen” where she tried to help people like her eat better and enjoy every type of food they enjoyed before discovering their celiac disease but with a healthy twist.

Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper [3]tied the know in early 2006, but the romance didn’t last so long. The pair had been rumored to be dating for years before eventually getting married to each other, but things didn’t go as planned, and so they divorced after only four months of marriage.
Cooper briefly touched on being married to Jennifer in an interview with Howard Stern, explaining that “It was just something that happened. The Good Thing Is, We Both Realised It”
On the other hand, Jennifer didn’t say anything about her ex-husband directly. She briefly mentioned someone in her first book that was very unfair and manipulative toward her, and fans quickly detected that she was probably talking about Bradley Cooper.
In 2009, Jennifer got engaged to an Australian tennis player named Mark Philippoussis. The couple sadly called off their engagement in 2010. There is no information why the couple broke up after three years of dating.
In 2014, Jennifer moved on to another partner and married model Louis Dowler. Louis was also Esposito’s business partner. Both of them owned a gluten-free bakery called “Jennifer’s Way.” The couple has since divorced, and Jennifer is rumored to be dating fitness expert Jesper Vesterstrom.
