Deborah Ann Gibson was born in New York, Long Island, to parents who enjoyed singing while she was growing up. She has three sisters.

She fell in love with all aspects of music, and at the age of 13, she even applied for the station’s song contest with her original song ‘I Come From America,’ winning $1000 in cash as a prize.

Debbie studied piano, was tutored by the famous pianist Morton Estrin, and went to Sanford H. Calhoun High School. There is no record of whether she proceeded with her education elsewhere.

Her path led her to the road of music, so she continued to create.

Debbie’s first appearance as an actor was on Broadway in 1992, when she played in ‘Les Miserables’ and it made her realize that apart from music, she also enjoys acting a lot.

Nevertheless, she also gained many credits for her acting skills. So she continued playing in other Broadway productions like ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and other plays like ‘Chicago,’ ‘Cabaret,’ etc.
