Not much is known about D Smoke’s early life. He grew up with his mother and brothers in Inglewood, California, where he would later work as a teacher. In addition, his mother was a piano instructor, so D Smoke got the chance to learn how to play both the piano and the drums.[1]

In 2021, D Smoke, received four different nominations.
