Constance grew up in L.A. Not much is known about where she went to school, and if she ever got to finish college.

When she turned 19, she got a role as a dancer in the musical “Cosmopolis,” composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto in Japan. After returning to the States, she was noticed at a local club by a choreographer for David Bowie, which is how she got hired to be his dancer for his tour in 1987.
