Alan Keating is an investor and professional poker player from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He is known to poker lovers for his high stakes in private games and is one of the loosest players at the Hustler Casino Live events. Alan is also popular for his VPIP (voluntarily put in pot) of over 90%, which has gotten him the nickname VPIP King or VPIP God, as he also dubs himself on his Instagram account.

Keating has kept his personal life private. Not much can be said about his early and personal life, except that he was the protégé of the Instagram “Playboy King” Dan Bilzerian. They were often photographed together at events.[1]

Keating has more than a decade of professional poker-playing experience. His total recorded live poker tournament earnings are $239,711. [2] Keating’s net worth is estimated at $17 million.

He has played in 16 poker tournaments so far. His highest winning was $58,570 at the main event of the 2007 WSOP (World Series of Poker) Championship on July 6th, 2007, although he finished 102nd.[3]

He didn’t appear at the WSOP Championship in 2008. But the following year, Alan earned $14,413 and made it to the 19th spot at the 40th World Series of Poker.

Keating continued playing at the World Series of Poker annual events all through 2015. He also attended other poker events, such as the Heartland Poker Tour in 2007, and the Five-Star World Poker Classic in 2011, which marked his second-best position - 6th, but his lowest earnings of $2,643.

Additionally, he participated in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in 2015, where he earned $21,074. [2]

After 2015, Keating's career went through a hiatus when he didn’t appear in any poker tournaments. However, Alan reappeared on the poker scene in 2022, attending the $800 No-Limit Hold'em Neymar Jr and Friends Invitational event in Las Vegas, where he finished 7th.[4]

In August 2022, Keating also made headlines winning the biggest pot in Hustler Casino Live history, worth $749,000, in a game with J.R.[5]

This was an amazing comeback for Alan compared to the previous Hustler Casino Live game in May 2022, when he surprised his fans by losing $1.1 million to a table of amateurs.[6]

Currently, Keating is the 520th poker player on the Popularity ranking list, 10,884th on the All-Time Money List, and 5,582nd on the United States All-Time Money List.
